John David Beeson, born September 25, 1945, in Greenville, Mississippi, went to be with his Lord and Savior March 24, 2013. He grew up in Memphis and was a graduate of Whitehaven High School and the University of Memphis, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He began his career in sales and marketing with Woolco and eventually established his own business, John Beeson and Associates. John was a double kidney transplant recipient receiving his first kidney in 1971 from his brother, Bill, and the second in 1997 from his brother, Jim. He was involved with the Kidney Foundation and served on the board of the Mid-South Transplant Foundation.

He loved going to the family cabin at Pickwick Lake; trout fishing with his son, David; listening to classical music; and, most of all, being "Daddy B" to this two grandsons, Mac and Charlie. He and his family attended Lindenwood Christian Church for many years and then Christ United Methodist Church for the last 25 years.

John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Byers Beeson; son David Beeson and his fiancee', Angela Cain of Jackson, MS; daughter Devon (Mac) McFarland and grandsons Mac McFarland and Charlie McFarland, all of Nashville, TN; sisters Betty (Fred) Betts of Atlanta, Ga; Patty (Harold) Howie of Kansas City, MO; Margo Ehrentraut of Memphis, TN; and brothers Bill (Mari) Beeson of Memphis, TN; Jim (Barbara) Beeson of Pompano Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Wright Beeson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, in the parlor at Christ United Methodist Church from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, in Wilson Chapel at Christ United Methodist Church followed by a private burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Christ United Methodist Church/Bouknight Fund, 4488 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38117; Church Health Center, 1210 Peabody Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104; or the Kidney Foundation of West Tennessee, 857 Mt. Moriah Road, Memphis, TN 38117.
