Martha Ellen McKinney-Rice passed away March 10, 2013 at her home. She was born, the youngest child of Curtis and Evia McKinney on November 26, 1955 in Memphis, TN. She was a graduate of Christian Brothers University. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carlotta McKinney. She is survived by a daughter, Natalie Allen (Andy), a son, Jason Rice, two grandchildren, Evy and Quentin Allen, two sisters, Maxine Maxwell and Anita Sherard (Leon), two brothers, Gerald McKinney (Glinda) and William McKinney, and many other loving family members and friends.

There will be a casual memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at St. John's United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, Ellen asked that donations be made to St. John's United Methodist Churchy, 1207 Peabody Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104.
