Dove Emblem

Mary Lee Rosen Frohlich died unexpectedly at home in Memphis, TN on October 3. Born July 21, 1927, Mary Lee spent her childhood in the northeastern and mid-western United States. She attended the University of Missouri, where she majored in Geology and met her husband, Maurice. They spent the next 49 years together until Maurice's death in 1997. After her husband's death, Mary Lee became active in several book clubs and study groups, keeping her mind active every day of her life and constantly building new friendships. An avid reader, Mary Lee loved all types of books – especially murder mysteries.

She is survived by her daughters Kay Barkin and Martha Rettberg, both of Texas; her son-in-law Dave Rettberg; her grandchildren Danielle Kelsey and Kevin Barkin; and her great-grandson Rhythm.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 8 at Canale Funeral Directors. The family asks that donations be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
