Josephine Mangialardi Camponovo, 91, died February 17, 2012, at Carriage Court of Memphis. Formerly a resident of Memphis, Southaven, and Hot Springs, she was born in Shelby, Mississippi, on September 22, 1920, to Ersilia (Celia) Belenchia Mangialardi and Emiliano (Melio) Mangialardi. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Victor Herman Camponovo; her brother, Willie G. Mangialardi; and her parents.
Josephine ("Jo") enjoyed cooking, gardening, and homemaking. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Her survivors include her children, John F. Camponovo and wife, Margo, of Cortez, Colorado; Barbara Susan (Sue) Hays, of Memphis, Tennessee; and Jo Ann Rossi, of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, John Dominic Camponovo and wife, Shannon; Ann Marie Morningstar and husband, Matthew; Don Victor Rossi and Anna Leigh Rossi; and two great-grandchildren: James and Will Morningstar. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, especially Edith Thomas, and all the caring staff at Carriage Court of Memphis. Special gratitude also goes to the caregivers at Crossroads Hospice.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 20, with a Rosary to follow at 6:30 p.m., at Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Avenue Extended, Memphis, Tennessee. Private interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
