Mary Rembert Hammond was born June 24, 1923 and died July 14, 2012. A resident of Vero Beach, FL, she was born and raised in Memphis the daughter of Marietta Dunscomb and Samuel Stokes Rembert. She married the love of her life Jim Hammond. The Hammonds enjoyed traveling especially cruises and fishing trips to the Everglades and Alaska. Mrs. Hammond was a former member of the Junior League and Memphis Garden Club. She was a member of Johns Island Club and Memphis Country Club. She also was Queen of Osiris. She leaves three children, Kay Hammond of Vero Beach, Nina Tayloe (Robert) and Jim Hammond (Rebecca) both of Memphis; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to express deep gratitude for the loving care she received over the past years from Natasha Spinks, Cheryl Mason and Evelyn Brooks.

There will be a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to The Church Health Center, Memphis Humane Society, Hospice of VNA in Vero Beach, FL or a charity of the donor's choice.
